Jerry "Papa J" Martini

The "daddy" of the group, Jerry at 55 remains as musically active as ever. He was recently playing in a rock band in Waikiki on Lewers St. at a place called the Irish Rose. Jerry is leaving his group at "Nicholas Nickolas," a nightclub atop the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii and wishes to express many many thanks to the owner of the club, Aaron Placarakis, for eight years of support. Jerry would also like to extend his thanks to Brad Sylvester.

Recently Jerry has been cooking up a solo CD which features *very* tasty renditions of songs such as: "Angel Eyes," "Besame Mucho," "Willow Weep For Me," "Summertime," "Tenderly," "Autumn Leaves," "Since I Fell For You" and "Europa." To order a copy, mail a check or money order to Jerry Martini at 758 Kapahulu Ave. #A304, Honolulu HI 96816. The cost of the CD is $11.00 US; include an extra $3.95 for shipping/handling within the US, and include an extra $5.95 for shipping/handling outside the US (money orders for outside US please). Jerry will personally autograph each copy; for more details e-mail him at [email protected]. We're planning to feature samples and ordering information here on the site, so keep your eye here for more details.

Now you can see Jerry get down on his saxophone with Larry Graham and Graham Central Station on their tour with The Artist Formerly Known As Prince! Click here for the latest dates. You can also hear Jerry on the group's last official release "By Popular Demand" (released in Japan) and can expect to hear him on Larry's new album GCS2000 which is a collaboration between Larry and The Artist and features members of Sly & the Family Stone, Graham Central Station and the New Power Generation.

(Thanks to Jerry Martini, Brad Sylvester and Syunsuke ONO for the great photos!)
