Emile O' Connor

"The Nerve of You"
"Every Dog has His Day"

From "In the Studio" liner notes: "Emile O' Connor, AKA "Little E," was well-known locally for his slightly anachronistic 1961 vocal hit "Candy Apple Red Impala." On "The Nerve of You" and "Every Dog Has His Day," he delivers two impassioned vocal performances, both surprisingly left unissued."

Sly went on to combine parts of these two songs for the song "Dog" on Sly & the Family Stone's first album "A Whole New Thing;" he also used the opening stanza of "Nerve" for the Mojo Men's "She's My Baby."
